MR and Shandong Electric Power Company reached a strategic cooperation in the field of power grid construction
M H November 5-10, 2019, Shanghai, China – MR China, a global leader in the field of transformer control solutions, was invited to participate in the Sino-foreign Enterprise Cooperation Forum hosted by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council during the 2nd China International Import Expo. Together with more than 800 people, including heads of government departments and international organizations, principals of central and local state-owned enterprises, and foreign partners of central enterprises, they discussed issues such as opening-up of central enterprises, expanding imports, independent innovation, and promoting high-quality development through unimpeded trade.
In addition to the meeting, MR China has reported good news frequently, and signed an agreement with Shandong Electric Power Equipment Co., Ltd. and Xi’an Xidian Transformer Co., Ltd. to further deepen cooperation and seek new opportunities for the future development of China’s power grid.
On November 6th, Thorsten Stohr (Shi De), general manager of MR China, Yang Nuo, sales director of MR China, and Ji Wei, general manager of Shandong Power Equipment Co., Ltd. attended the site of the Expo, signed a letter of intent for cooperation, established a strategic partnership, and committed to realizing cooperation win-win. According to the agreement, the two parties will actively explore the in-depth cooperation mode of power grid construction, jointly promote the all-round development of UHV power grid construction technology, equipment, management and brand, accelerate the construction of a first-class modern smart grid, and promote the upgrading and leap-forward development of the power industry.
On November 7, MR China and Xi’an Xidian Transformer Co., Ltd. signed an agreement of intent for cooperation in transformer components. Thorsten Stohr, General Manager of MR China, Yang Nuo, Sales Director of MR China, Pei Zhenjiang, General Manager of China Xidian Group, Helian Mingli, Deputy General Manager of China Xidian Group, and Zhang Changshuan, Deputy General Manager of Xi’an Xidian Transformer Co., Ltd. came to the scene. The two parties will establish a strategic cooperative relationship and, on the basis of mutual benefit, will integrate resources to achieve a win-win situation.

VR? vacuum on-load tap-changer for the Qinghai-Henan ±800 kV UHV DC project, and the number reached 14 units.
In addition to helping China’s local power grid construction, MR responded to the “Belt and Road” initiative, went abroad together with China Xidian Group, participated in the ±660kV DC transmission project in Pakistan’s Matiari-Lahar, and provided 26 new VACUTAP? VR ?Vacuum on-load tap-changer plays a role in the first HVDC transmission line in Pakistan.
